Sam is a Counseling Psychologist with over 10 years practicing experience. Sam holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. Sam is also a lecturer in the department of Counseling and Psychology at Bugema University, where he trains, supervises, mentors and counsel students.
Sam is a certified EMDR practitioner, an experiential therapist who has expertise in youth and young adults. He counsels in trauma and grief management, cases of depression, suicide intervention, change management, he is a relationship counselor and also career guidance for students. Sam’s involvement and counseling of students at the University from over 22 countries, has given him the sensitivity to handle cross cultural issues and concerns. He has been involved in presentations and counseling families with marital issues mostly in Uganda and Tanzania.
He has handled several cases of change management and workplace issues in a number of NGO’s and different environment of work such Danish Refugee Council (DRC), Adventist Relief Agency (ADRA), Lutheran World Federation (LWF), Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL), National Social Security Fund (NSSF) etc.
